Today, after lesson, my
group decided to have a group meeting and take pictures of the studio. The studio is a very important
location for our music video. This is because; the dancer will be filmed in the
studio. We needed to study the size of the studio to see if it was suitable to
film in. we discovered that the studio was large enough to film in. we studied
the equipment in the studio. However we were not allowed to use the equipment’s
of the filming. This did not matter, as we were taught how to use the equipment
last year in our AS level of media studies. I acted as the ‘model’ and we role
played that I was the dancer; we discovered that in order for our filming
techniques to look flawless we had to use the gold and silver screens. The gold
screen allowed me to look golden. However, we were unable to find the silver
screen as we only had a couple of minutes to take pictures. By taking pictures
in the studio, this mentally prepared us of how the music video will be set out
in our heads. We were able to understand that we will have to bring our own
props of clothing. As the rapper is a male, we won’t need to apply make up to
him, but preferably the gold screen, for a glow appearance. Luckily, we have a
music player in the studio, therefore now we know that we have to put the
original song ‘role models’ onto a CD.
